Patience, patience.

I attended an excruciating hearing of Madison, Wisconsin's Urban Design Commission last night. A few of us historic preservationists are trying to prevent the destruction of some of Madison's oldest buildings, on the 100 Block of State Street. I should have remembered one crucial thing: Officialdom often gets away with doing the bidding of the moneyed interests by wearing us - the opposition - down. Through sheer, agonizing, bureaucratic tedium. It was a long night indeed, but I held out for my three minute comment period!
