Although the therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists (Greek for "spirit doctor") and other assorted "experts" who did the research have a decidedly authoritarian streak, I've gained some valuable insight into the more sordid aspects of my, and others' rationalization, projection, obsession, hysteria, mania, depression and so many more healthy/bizarre human emotions.
