Remembering my Brooklyn cousin Leonard Joseph Goldstein today, on what would have been his 48th birthday. It was always great to have a REAL friend in NYC. I remember running along the beach, throwing sand and small rocks, and causing other minor disturbances. And other incidents, perhaps not so minor. Later on, as we grew toward "maturity," we shared a smoke sometimes. Lenny was the one who introduced me to "The Message:" I ended up listening to it as habitually as he did.
