US-Cuba Rapprochement opens big can of worms
From the article, which I refuse to purchase from TIME's online store:
"The literacy rate is 99.8%, and the health system is among the world's best. Cuba has a lower infant mortality rate than America."
Mind you, this is TIME Magazine talking.

On the one hand, potential business opportunities abound, for both Cubans and Americans; charter-boat fishing tours will now probably span the Florida Keys to the Cuban islands. Eventually, there will be direct ferry service between Key West and Havana. Ordinary Cubans' diet may improve markedly, if US agricultural interests are able to ship Midwestern grain and other products right down the Mississippi, then across the gulf to Cuban ports. On the other hand, Cuba will no doubt lose some of its major appeal, such as its relatively pristine natural areas, likely to be overrun in the future by hordes of tourists riding personal watercraft. Havana's beautiful and authentic historic neighborhoods may also be in peril. Still, this thaw in relations stands to benefit both countries, if carried out with caution and concern for the PEOPLE.
